One characteristic of the signs of the times may well be the madness of the times. Not long ago it would have seemed unbelievable that so many Americans could so willingly excuse corruption and down right evil with the ease that they do today. Few are appalled these days. Lawlessness has become part of the American fabric. Its just the way things are. The Bible does say that in the last days "evil men and impostors will proceed from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived" (2 Tim. 3:13), and the madness of these times drives home the point. When society becomes corrupt, the reasoning process becomes twisted too, "...deceived and being deceived." We have seen it in our lifetime. This corruption of men has indeed proceeded from bad to worse.

Yet there will come a day when this madness of wickedness will be much more pronounced than it is today. That's because in that day God will remove the true Christians from the earth (rapture) and the mystery of iniquity which already works will run its course (2 Thess. 2:7), "With all deception of wickedness for those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth so as to be saved. And for this reason God will send them a deluding influence [madness of reason], so that they might believe that which is false, in order that they all may be judged who did not believe the truth, but took pleasure in wickedness" 2 Thess 2:10-12.

God is not about to save this world, but He wants to save out of this world all who are willing. Don't be numbered with those who are not willing. Don't be a product of the madness of wickedness. Come out from among them. Turn to the risen Christ. "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved," Acts 16:31.
